I am attracted to color and typically use strong colors to produce a mind of glow in my paintings. My never-ending goal is to work on mastering “fooling the eye” through realism and three dimensional forms. With my landscapes, I try to make people feel like they are there and that they would really want to visit the place. I am attracted to color and typically use strong colors to produce a mind of glow in my paintings. My never-ending goal is to work on mastering “fooling the eye” through realism and three dimensional forms. With my landscapes, I try to make people feel like they are there and that they would really want to visit the place. I am constantly thinking of what would make great paintings when traveling to new places, experiencing nature in the national parks or even while I’m watching T.V. shows. Occasionally I will take a picture of a subject and just know right away that it will make a good painting. Along with the help of music, I can get lost in my work and hours can go by without me realizing it. An important part of my life would be missing if I didn’t create art.
