Arkansas artis, Barbara Val Dell Robinson, a native Minnesotan, was born with natural artistic talent, which has developed and matured over many years. Barbara graduated with a B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in studio arts. intending to be an art therapist, she soon realized that her love for making art was stronger than her desire to evaluate it. This natural talent was enhanced by numerous workshops, seminars and self-study. She moved to Eureka Springs, Arkansas in 1998 to continue the progression of her art career. For several years Barbara traveled to art shows throughout the country showing her work while also exhibiting at several galleries in the Eureka Springs area. She then had her own successful gallery space at the Art Colony in Eureka Springs and opened the Eureka Fina Art Gallery with seven prominent local artists in 2013. In 2018, Barbara moved to Mel Shipley’s signature gallery at 85 Spring Street in Eureka Springs. In November 2020 she moved to Lindstrom, MN, to be closer to her family. Among her most notable achievements were a solo exhibit at the Vada Sheid gallery at Arkansas State University, Mountain Home, Arkansas, a solo exhibit at the Arts Center of the Ozarks, Springdale, Arkansas, and a featured artist in a juried group exhibition at the Crystal Bridges American Art Museum in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Leslie Anne grew up in Northern Minnesota on the north flowing Mississippi River. Her childhood was led with books, nature, and art. Being born to an extremally artistic mother and earth conscience forester father, the early exposure to art and nature molded Leslie Anne into the artist she is today. Primarily working with rejected bits and pieces of rusted metals, discarded glass items, nuts, bolts, doll heads and, limbs. Leslie Anne assembles these items into art dolls and collages. Leslie Anne’s hope is that her art stirs something in the viewer and hopefully that is joy. Leslie Anne resides in River Falls, with her talented artist husband, Samuel, and their two crazy angora cats.

Thomas Merton, the writer and poet, stated: “Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.” YOU are a work of art. There is no other YOU. So, with that in mind, I have created guided ArtPlay, ClayPlay and DancePlay. While we may begin with similar ideas, we expand to express what is inside us. Intuitive. Interpretive. This helps us discover new things about ourselves. It may be letting our inner child out to play (permission granted!), or reignite a passion we set aside and intended to revisit with someday. I encourage you to make that someday NOW. Simply put, adults don’t play enough! Here, we do. Come join us!
