OUR APPROACH A House Unbuilt uses radical listening practices to open more ears and create greater possibility for civil discourse during a time when the United States and the world are greatly divided. Our work focuses primarily in Middle America, from small towns to larger urban centers. We draw on one-on-one relationship-building to cultivate connection across divides, although we are not necessarily seeking agreement. OUR VISION A House Unbuilt believes story can connect us. The understanding of story as a confluence of individual landscapes, voices, and movements, is vital to our approach to both gathering and sharing stories. We perceive story as an embodied object, existing in time, continuous. Story is only ever captured in part and creates great opportunity for empathy. OUR CAUSE The work of A House Unbuilt is research, performance, and activism. These are not mutually exclusive, but rather exist together simultaneously to create a well-balanced purpose and effort. Through listening, we create opportunity for others to reconsider and reimagine the place where they are from, the people that surround them, and the time that they live in.

  • Thor's Hard Cider
    Thor's Hard Cider
Commercial Business;  Historical;  Kids & Family-Friendly;  Music
Thor’s Hard Cider is made with farm fresh-pressed, full-strength, locally-grown apple with NO preservatives. From the first apple being picked, to the cap being pressed on our bottles, the entire process happens at Aamodt’s Apple Farm. We branded it Thor’s Hard Cider—after Thor Aamodt, our great-grandfather and founder of Aamodt’s Apple Farm. As fourth-generation apple farmers, we Aamodt’s know our apples. And it turns out we have a natural ability to blend really great hard cider brews. Amazing things happen when you toss some Minnesota Honeycrisp mixed with tart Haralson and a few other varieties into the press—and then let the cold fermentation process do its magical thing. Thor’s Hard Cider is authentic. Most mass-market hard ciders begin with preserved apple juice concentrate. Thor’s is made from fresh-pressed, full-strength, locally-grown apples with no preservatives. The entire process happens at our Stillwater, MN orchard. Come visit our taproom and dog-friendly patio to try our cider and taste our seasonal menu! We often host indoor and outdoor music, so check our Facebook events for upcoming live music events!
