All in One Room: The Country School Experience

Gallery exhibit honoring the One Room Country School tradition. For nearly two hundred years, country schools were the nation’s most reliable educational institutions, and over 200,000 once dotted the American landscape, 600 of those in Wisconsin. Now they have all but disappeared, except at the River Falls Public Library where the one-room country school exhibit brings back old memories and introduces those too young to remember to this interesting facet of our country’s history.
