Little Parrot Art Sanctuary and Meditation Supplies

Althea Ennen, an artist and musician, is the curator of Little Parrot Art Gallery.  She has a BFA from the UW at River Falls, and has completed postgraduate coursework in art history at St. Thomas University.  She is also a singer/songwriter with 6 original albums and several awards for her music.

Her concept for the gallery was to create a contemplative environment of complementary art in a variety of media.  She steers away from human representations and language toward images which invoke the spiritual and meditative realms.  Her attention to the overall presentation and integration of pieces blends the work into the healing theme of the Compass Center, and is what many find appealing when visiting the space.
