Founded in 1856, St. Croix Catholic (SCCS) is fully accredited through the Minnesota Nonpublic School Accrediting Association (MNSAA) and is a Catholic school of the Archdiocese of St. Paul & Minneapolis. The school educates students from preschool through 8th grade. Its preschool program, Ark of Angels, is unique to the St. Croix Valley in that it combines two time-tested concepts into a single education experience for preschoolers: faith-based education and Montessori-driven learning. The school’s K-8 traditional curriculum is aligned with and exceeds national and state standards. SCCS hires licensed educators with expertise in the field. The Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia also serve at the school with Sister Maria Ivana, O.P. in the position of principal.
