Four Lights and A Ring: Professional Wrestling In Minnesota

Four Lights and A Ring: Professional Wrestling In Minnesota

Presented by Washington County Historical Society at Unknown

Minnesota has a large history with professional wrestling, beginning with the AWA in 1950.  Names synonymous with Minnesota include Jesse Ventura, Mad Dog Vachon, Verne Gagne, and The Crusher.  Whether you are a current professional wrestling fan or remember it as a kid, this presentation will be filled with history and stories of the era of Minnesota pro wrestling.

Join former American Wrestling Association (AWA) color commenter and current promoter of Twin Cities based Steel Domain Wrestling (SDW)  Mick Karch and George Schire, author of “Minnesota’s Golden Age of Wrestling” for an afternoon at the Warden’s House Museum to discuss the history of professional wrestling in Minnesota.

Note: All folding chairs during the event are only to be used for sitting, not striking other audience members when the ref isn’t looking.
