This two-part class is for students with some watercolor experience who want to easily take their watercolor everywhere they go – hiking, biking, paddling, or aboard a plane. At the first class meeting, students will receive tips on assembling a light, portable and inexpensive watercolor kit, and learn how to use watercolor pencil techniques to augment (or entirely replace) their water color travel pallette.
At the second meeting, students will take their watercolor kits out and about to apply what they have learned. With brief demonstrations and gentle coaching, students will sketch on location in beautiful historic Hudson. An optional dinner at one of Hudson’s great restaurants will be planned after sketching, with spouses and partners welcome.
Request a suggested supply list when registering: students provide some basic supplies, with other supplies available to share and try.
