Cry Over Spilled Milk

“Sime’s sculpture, composed of playful cutout shapes and strips of steel, creates a harmonious core in the gallery. On the surface or underneath, inside or out, her work acts in stagnant or interactive theatre, lively with quirks, corners and glimpses of secrets." – Heidi Sime

"Castro’s large monotypes wrap the exterior walls of the show with dimension and form, oozing with vibrant color. The gestural lines drawn with lithography crayons create expressive shapes filled with lithography inks and bonded to the paper thorough the method of printmaking.” – Genie Castro

Adapt.Survive.Decay.Demise.

“I came to art through the backdoor of handcraft. I learned to knit as a child and to spin yearn as a young adult. I taught myself to make three-dimensional folksy animals of hand-spun yarn that evolved to the hand-knit sculptures I now make out of wire and other non-traditional materials.”-Carolyn G. Halliday

"Materials and process are integral to my art practice. Ordinary cloth is transformed through a series of surface applications that may include dye, digital print, painting, stitch, and deconstruction. Slow work with roots in enduring handcraft traditions, my approach is ritual where the potency of mindful prescence is affirmed every day I'm in the studio." – Kimber Olson

Geometric Illuminations

"My Geometric Illumination series of translucent photographsexplore light, color and space, harnessing digital technology and embracing the aesthetics of abstract painting." – Philip Noyed

Traditions of the Past

"My current work focuses on the loss of traditional childhood in today's youth… As the world moved toward everything digital and with technology taking over, kids know how to swipe, but not how to write. The next generation will never read a newspaper; know a landline or home phone; or play with toys made in their grandfather's woodshop." – Julian Gelhaye

"I focus on objects that get discarded after their primary purpose has been fulfilled. I recreate those objects with glass and show them in a completely new setting. Bones, antlers, stones, and leather are some materials I reference in my artwork to create primitive tools, votive statues and vessels." – Jamison Schlotte
