Scandinavians in the State House: How Nordic Immigrants Shaped Minnesota Politics

Swedish-American author, Klas Bergman, comes to Marine on St. Croix from Washington, DC, to discuss his new book, which explores the story of Nordic immigrant influence in Minnesota politics and culture, and the lasting legacy of a “Scandinavian state in the New World.”  Joining Klas for the conversation will be Dag Blanck of Uppsala University, Sweden and Steven Schier of Carleton College, Northfield, MN.

This event is co-sponsored by the Swedish-American Historical Society, Minnesota Historical Society, American Swedish Institute, and Gammelgården Museum.

Books will be available for purchase, courtesy of Valley Bookseller.
