Franconia Sculpture Park presents our 2022 Writers-in-Residence during a virtual reading.
Writers applied for the Writer’s Residency program with consideration to our 2022 Annual theme, Land Art & Temporality. Writers will share work-in-progress produced during their time at Franconia.
Franconia Sculpture Park hosts writers from various disciplines from around the world during winter in rural Minnesota. We bring together a wide range of voices using myriad writing devices, tones, and perspectives while considering the year’s annual curatorial theme.
Participating writers:
Devon Delmar + Jason Jacobs Collaborative (South Africa) are developing concepts and stories for a scientifically realistic anthology-animation series, wherein the protagonist of each episode is a non-human animal or plant.
Juleana Enright (Minnesota) will curate a zine featuring the lives and creative vision of non-binary, Two-Spirit, trans, and queer artists living in Minnesota, featuring interviews and artwork.
Jaamil Olawale Kosoko (Pennsylvania) will work on completing their book, Black Body Amnesia: Poems and Other Speech Acts.
Kristina Martino (Massachusetts) is developing a second manuscript of poetry that deals with disability, environmental crises, and the pandemic.
Ingrid Nordstrom + Aubrey Daval Collaborative (Minnesota | New Orleans) will workshop and structure a script for their documentary on the artist, evangelist, poet, and musician Sister Gertrude Morgan.
