FamilyMeans 9th annual Power of the Purse will include a silent auction of purses, a live auction of varied items, a delicious sit-down brunch and the opportunity to hear from keynote speaker Alisha Perkins. Alisha will share her struggle with anxiety and how she overcame it through her passion for running. The wife of Twins player Glenn Perkins, she also has two young daughters.

Power of the Purse brings together more than 300 attendees, mostly women and girls, each year to want to be empowered and learn more about FamilyMeans.

This year’s event takes place on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 10 a.m. at The Envision Center (formerly Prom Center) at 484 Inwood Avenue North in Oakdale. Tickets cost $50 per person.
