Lori Powell Gordon and Friends to Debut New Show at Benefit for Marine Community Library

Start off the season of thanksgiving and celebration with Lori Powell Gordon and friends at their new show “Mama Came Back and We Were Dancing: Stories and Songs about Hope.”  This benefit concert for Marine Community Library will be held at Marine Village Hall on November 19.

Gordon is a well-known local writer and humorist whose entertaining shows delight audiences. The show features a new and (mostly) true story about a mysterious dream in which Mama returns to take care of some business.

“When Mama left,” reports Gordon, “we expected her to stay gone, so this was a big surprise to me.”

Gordon will be joined by musicians Mary Duncan, Kelli Rae Tubbs and Lisa Borg, as well as vocalist Nanc Macleslie and special guests Harmonia.

Refreshments will be served.

The all-volunteer Marine Community Library is a joint venture between the City of Marine on St. Croix, Washington County Library and the communities of May Township, Scandia and Marine.  The Library relies on volunteer staffing and donations to support its operations.
