The Minnesota Wild, along with FOX Sports North and Minnesota Hockey,  will host the outdoor games for Wells Fargo Hockey Day Minnesota 2017 in Stillwater!  An outdoor rink will be constructed in Lowell Park in downtown Stillwater along the St. Croix River. Stillwater’s festivities will be part of a day-long television event broadcast on FOX Sports North, designed as a celebration of the game from peewees to pros. 

The broadcast lineup features a total of six games taking place at four separate locations. The Stillwater historic Lift Bridge will serve as the backdrop for three high school games being played on an outdoor rink constructed in downtown Stillwater’s Lowell Park, along the shores of the St Croix River. The outdoor games will feature some of the top boys high school hockey programs in the state, including Thief River Falls vs. Mahtomedi, Eden Prairie vs. Stillwater as well as a girls matchup between Minnetonka and Stillwater. Proceeds of the event will benefit Stillwater area youth hockey programs.

FOX Sports North will televise FOX Sports North will televise Minnesota State University Mankato vs. St. Cloud State University Women’s game from Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, the border battle between the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers and University of Wisconsin Badgers men’s hockey game from the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin. The NHL takes the spotlight during primetime in a match-up featuring the Minnesota Wild vs. Anaheim Ducks from Xcel Energy Center.
