The Marine Library Association presents “Once Upon a River,” a musical celebration of 100 Years of National Parks with the Festival Chorus, directed by Marty Harding, recent Pine Needles artist-in-residence; Butch Thompson; Dan Chouinard; the River City Quartet; and the photography of Gary Noren, also a Pine Needles artist-in-residence. The Artist at Pine Needles residency program is sponsored by the Science Museum of Minnesota. Selected natural history artists or writers immerse themselves in a field experience, gather resource materials, and interact with environmental scientists and the local community. Gary Noren and Marty Harding collaborated on a project of photography and choral music. Joined by friends and fellow musicians, they share their work in support of the Marine Community Library.
