Yellowstone Trail Heritage Days

Presented by Yellowstone Trail Heritage Day at Lakefront Park

On Friday and Saturday, July 30th and 31st, 2021 hundreds of car and history enthusiasts will be in St. Croix County to celebrate Yellowstone Trail Heritage Days. All new this year—the celebration is expanding to include three car shows. The Vintage and Classic Car Show will be joined by the ever-popular Brit Fest Car Show and new old Model A Ford Car Show.

The event highlight is Military Vehicle Preservation Association Convoy and salute to veteran’s parade.

Visitors can also enjoy a pig roast organized by the SeaBees, geocaching, history speaker, museum tours, a socialability drive poker run and more.

Yellowstone Trail Heritage Days promotes the historic national automobile trail that passed through St. Croix County in the early 1910s. Much like Route 66, the Yellowstone Trail carried travelers from one end of the country to another (Plymouth Rock to Puget Sound) before the advent of freeways. Begun in 1912, this trail featured one special stop at Yellowstone National Park. Hudson shared an important role in this unique road’s history as it passed across the Old Dike Road and toll bridge, climbed up Walnut and Vine Streets to County Road UU and Hwy 12, leading to Roberts, Hammond, Baldwin, Woodville and beyond.
