Virtual Native Seed Planting Party

Virtual Native Seed Planting Party

Presented by Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center at Freedom Park at Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center at Freedom Park

Join us on Zoom on Feb 25th to learn how to plant the seeds. Register on Eventbrite: https://bit.ly/3bdmZSJ

Register now to receive packets of seeds and information in the mail. Then, connect to the Zoom party on Feb 25th to learn why, and how to, start native plant seeds using the ‘milk-jug’ method. We will plant seeds together during the Zoom meeting, and provide next-step instructions to encourage good seed germination. This family-friendly activity is a great way to get your hands ‘in the dirt’ while the ground outside is still frozen, and to learn more about our native prairie plants.

Supplies are limited; pre-register now to ensure you receive native plant seeds in the mail. Registrants will provide their own milk-jug/water-jug containers, soil, duct tape, and pencil/grease pen for labeling each jug.

Once you have registered, you will receive an email with more information about this event.
