Community Ice Cream Social at Historic Courthouse July 14

Presented by Washington County Parks at Washington County Historic Courthouse

Outdoors on the lush, green grounds of the Washington County Historic Courthouse 5-9 p.m. Thursday, July 14, the Ice Cream Social is a perennial community favorite and the official kick-off to Stillwater’s Lumberjack Days.

Featured fun includes live music, an open stage portion, the Fantasy Corral Petting Zoo, children’s games and activities, Historic Medallion Hunt medallion sales, the first medallion clue reading, The Thirst for Giggle Water – Prohibition in the St. Croix Valley exhibit, and jail tours.

Grilled food with all the fixings, chips, 25-cent root beer floats, and penny candy will be available for purchase. All food proceeds benefit local non-profits.

Natural amphitheater seating with plenty of room to spread out blankets and chairs on the Historic Courthouse lawn creates an ideal environment for the live entertainment. The entertainment line-up is:

5-6 p.m. The Chris and Jack Duo;

6 p.m. Historic Medallion Hunt First Clue Reading;
6-7 p.m. Open Stage;
7-8 p.m. Blue Hazard; and
8-9 p.m. Paul Christian.

New this year, the open stage portion is replacing the previous talent show. The format is open for all performing arts, musicians, singers, actors, dancers, poets and comedians. There will be a limited number of performance time slots available on a first-come first-serve basis in three categories, youth, teen and adult.
