Ten thousand years ago, churning glacial meltwater carved the St. Croix River valley. Discover this turbulent tale with Dr. Chad Wittkop of Minnesota State University, Mankato as he lead you through the park’s glacial potholes. Park scenery will illustrate the story as he shares where this water came from and the incredible features it left behind.
The walk will be approximately one mile in length, and will have some rough, rocky terrain and stairs. Wear sturdy shoes and bring a sense of adventure. Space is limited for this special event. Please pre-register by contacting Jenni Webster at 651-465-5711 x 225 or jenni.webster@state.mn.us.
