Seven authors of fiction, nonfiction, memoir & poetry read their work aloud at The Zephyr Theatre.
When Writing Meets Art is a literary reading series held at The Zephyr Theatre.
The Sept. 15 reading will feature 2019 Minnesota Book Award winners Shannon Gibney, author of Dream Country, young adult literature; and Susan Bartlett Foote, author of The Crusade for Forgotten Souls: Reforming Minnesota’s Mental Institutions, 1946-1954, Minnesota nonfiction.
Also reading are Beth Mayer, author of the prize-winning short story collection We Will Tell You Otherwise; Don Jones, author of the memoir Six Days: Hitching & Hopping Across the American West; and emerging writers Robin Cain, Jim Swanson and Paula Foreman.
Free appetizers and a cash bar will be available.
A donation of $10 is suggested to benefit The Zephyr Theatre.
