Retired Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Alan Page joins us for a conversation about his life and work. Justice Page came to fame as a star defensive lineman for the Minnesota Vikings. At the same time, he pursued a law degree at the University of Minnesota. His legal career included working in the Minnesota Attorney General’s office. In 1992, he became the first African American to serve on the Minnesota Supreme Court. Justice Page and his wife, Diane, founded the Page Education Foundation, which assists Minnesota students of color in their pursuit of post-secondary education. He and his daughter, Kamie Page, have written three children’s picture books. In November 2018, Justice Page was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
