Free Kids Ice Fishing Contest and Clinic

Presented by St. Croix County Parks at Homestead Parklands on Perch Lake

Do you have Kids age 6-12? Looking for a challenge or to learn something new?

Teach them to fish! The first ever Perch Lake Ice Fishing contest and learning day. Hosted by St. Croix County Parks Department, the St. Croix County Sportsmans Alliance, Friends of Perch Lake and volunteers. Come for the prizes stay for the cocoa.

Prizes will be given for the Biggest Fish, Smallest Fish, and Most Fish in two age categories (6-8, 9-12). More importantly this is an opportunity to learn about ice fishing for those who have never tried and to hone skills for those who have.

We will drill the holes. We provide the bait. You just come ready to fish.

Some poles will be available but please bring your own if possible. Kids do not need a fishing license. Parents will need one if they decide to fish before or after the contest. There will be a fire with hot chocolate to warm up with.

Please register so we have an idea of attendance.

Parking will be at the Town boat landing. Please walk on to the ice.
