Minnesota Center for Book Arts (MCBA) provides visitors of all ages with opportunities for learning, creativity and self-expression. MCBA On the Road extends our educational reach throughout the seven-county Metro area and across greater Minnesota through partnerships with regional art centers, offering hands-on workshops and free open house events that introduce the book arts to new audiences in their home communities.

Learn basic tools and techniques while creating simple and elegant book structures that can later be filled with your own creative content. Explore several variations on two non-adhesive binding styles: the single signature pamphlet stitch with ribbon closure, and the Asian stab binding.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
