Explore, Discover, Create - Nature Sketchbook Workshop

Presented by The Phipps Center for the Arts and Belwin Conservancy at Belwin Conservancy

Creativity Inspired by Nature: A partnership between The Phipps and Belwin Conservancy.

This two-day workshop is designed for artists of all skill levels who never lost their childhood love to “go play outside.” Co-taught by naturalist Lynette Anderson and artist Pam Luer, oarticipants will spend two fall mornings exploring two different landscapes at Belwin Conservancy in Afton, which usually remain off-limits to the general public. Learn about the plants, insects, birds, and animals you discover, and create sketchbook drawings of what inspires you.

The focus will be on looking closely at nature through both a naturalist’s and an artist’s eye to hone each student’s knowledge and talents. In addition to presentations and demonstrations given to the group, both instructors will provide significant one-on-one attention to answer questions and enrich each participant’s experience. No materials are provided; request a basic materials list upon enrollment. Directions to meeting places will also be provided upon enrollment.
