Guillermo Cuellar & Friends: Fall Pottery Sale on the St Croix Trail takes place September 25, 26 and 27 at the Cuellar studio and showroom located on the bluffs overlooking the wild and scenic St. Croix River. Guillermo and friends will gather to sell a range of functional and decorative pots, Peruvian rugs and textiles and, new this year, award-winning landscape paintings by Mary Jo Van Dell. Those interested in clay work will have a chance to socialize with five potters, get to know the founder of a Peruvian textile cooperative and non-profit Foundation Comunidad, and meet Stillwater landscape painter Mary Jo Van Dell. Relax, enjoy brilliant autumn colors and share food & drink with them in a peaceful, rural setting of the valley.

Look for red signs for the pottery on St. Croix Trail (State Highway 95), ½ mile North of the intersection with Osceola trail (MN/WI Highway 243). 

I make pots for people to use, mainly for preparing and sharing food.  The value of utilitarian pottery is not diminished because is more comfortable on the dinner table or in the kitchen than on display in a gallery or museum. Its beauty enriches our homes and engages us as a friend and partner in life’s daily rituals. –Guillermo Cuellar
