OUR VISION: A sustainable, healthy lifestyle to fight climate change for all in Stillwater, Minnesota.

​OUR MISSION: Support initiatives that promote social, economic, and environmental resiliency in Stillwater, Minnesota.

The idea for Sustainable Stillwater kicked off in May 2013 with a community-wide visioning session led by high school students with a passion for a greener community. In June 2016 Sustainable Stillwater MN was officially introduced publicly.

Since then, our management team has launched sustainability initiatives in Stillwater, such as the downtown business waste management program S.E.E.D., promotion of energy management for carbon reduction, Safe Routes to School,  and the adoption by Stillwater of the GreenStep Cities plan. 

On March 4, 2019, SSMN became a 501c3 nonprofit charitable organization.
