My name is Cara Frafjord and I live in the beautiful St Croix River Valley of Minnesota. I was a sculptor and potter in my younger years and now have moved toward painting, photography and a love for tiny art.

My name is Cara Frafjord and I live in the beautiful St Croix River Valley of Minnesota. I was a sculptor and potter in my younger years and now have moved toward painting, photography and a love for tiny art.
I specialize in small format art for tiny homes and small spaces. Many of my pieces are only a few inches with the largest being 9×11. I enjoy encaustics and dabbling from one medium to another to add depth and texture. I love a painting I can feel! Due to the size of my pieces, I use extremely tiny brushes (many custom trimmed for my needs) and flat end tooth picks. Although my pieces are small, the process and detail that go into them takes many hours of very still handwork and concentration.
I hold a special place in my heart for art inspired by nature and resilience.
