  • Ascension Episcopal Church
    Ascension Episcopal Church
    Church
We are an ancient church grounded in the earliest traditions of Christianity. We are a very new church responsive to the issues of today. In our worship we revere God in mystery, we listen for God in scripture, and we also laugh and share a handshake or hug with one another. We are a Christian church: a community that seeks to follow the Way of Jesus, the anointed one (Christ) foretold in Jewish scriptures. Through him we see that God is love. Christ came into the world that we might have life abundantly and be restored to unity with God and reconciled with one another. We are also an Episcopal Church. Since 1846

An inclusive community, celebrating God’s unconditional love through engaging worship and faithful service.  Do you long for… …a church that explores a progressive understanding of the Christian faith? …a group of people who aim to know and extend care to one another? … a community where LGBTQ+ persons are welcomed and affirmed? …intersections of faith with environmental, economic and racial justice? …a deepening spiritual journey, open to questions and affirmations of faith? At People’s Church, we value experimenting and creating new traditions. Faith in a loving God supports our efforts to follow Jesus in loving our neighbors and ourselves. Trusting that each person’s faith journey is unique, we wonder together about God’s active presence in and through our lives. We invite you to join us for any upcoming event. St. Croix Catholic School
    Church;  Educational;  Kids & Family-Friendly
Founded in 1856, St. Croix Catholic (SCCS) is fully accredited through the Minnesota Nonpublic School Accrediting Association (MNSAA) and is a Catholic school of the Archdiocese of St. Paul & Minneapolis. The school educates students from preschool through 8th grade. Its preschool program, Ark of Angels, is unique to the St. Croix Valley in that it combines two time-tested concepts into a single education experience for preschoolers: faith-based education and Montessori-driven learning. The school’s K-8 traditional curriculum is aligned with and exceeds national and state standards. SCCS hires licensed educators with expertise in the field. The Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia also serve at the school with Sister Maria Ivana, O.P. in the position of principal. SCCS is affiliated with the local Catholic parishes of St. Michael and St. Mary of Stillwater and St. Charles of Bayport, Minnesota. Enrollment is open to students of all faiths. St. Croix Catholic School’s mission is to unite with families to form students as scholars, disciples and servant leaders. In 2012, St. Croix Catholic was the first Catholic school in the state of Minnesota to assume Project Lead The Way, the nation’s leading science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (S.T.E.M.) curriculum. In 2014, St. Croix Catholic School worked with the world renowned Havard Virtuous Leadership Institute to establish a virtues-based middle school leadership program. In 2017, the school invested in Institute for Excellence in Writing and in 2019, the school implemented nationally recognized FOSS Science materials, K-8.
