Sweethearts Snowshoe

Share the snowy sights of winter with your loved one! Make this a day to remember while our guides lead the way on this relaxed loop!

Bring that special someone to spend an afternoon on an easy snowshoe trail in Afton State Park, just half an hour east of the Twin Cities. Allow a St. Croix River Association trail guide lead you through the peaceful snow-covered floodplain forest as you learn about Minnesota’s winter wildlife. Enjoy some hot beverages and community at the end of the snowshoe.

If this event is canceled due to inclement weather, we will post a notification on SCRA’s Facebook page and we will do our best to contact registered participants. In the event that there is no snow, this event becomes a winter walk.If you have your own snowshoes, please bring them. Snowshoe rentals are also available at Afton State Park for $5 a pair, the park office closes at 4pm. If this is not possible, SCRA has a limited number of snowshoes available that participants can borrow for free.
