They are returning to their home, their birthplace on North American breeding grounds, many traveling from Central and South America. Join us and learn to recognize the warblers that breed in this area, see others that nest elsewhere, learn some tips on how to find these fascinating beauties, and what to do then.
Chase Davies is Field Trip Coordinator for the St Paul Audubon Society (SPAS) and member of our Wild Ones chapter. For SPAS’ annual Warbler Weekend, held every Mothers’ Day weekend in Frontenac MN, Chase developed a popular power point presentation so that folks could learn more about these bits of flitting confetti. Enjoy her somewhat wry sense of humor as she narrates this dazzling, dizzying, sometimes discouraging display. Consider bringing your birder friends. Binoculars are probably unnecessary on this virtual trip.
