Sanctuaries: Homes, Churches and Gardens Tour 2016

Promoting architecture, design and gardening as art forms!

Hastings Prescott Area Arts Council and Friends of LeDuc and Historic Hastings are pleased to announce their upcoming event, “Sanctuaries – Churches, Homes, & Gardens Tour” on July 9, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. This year’s theme focuses on Modernism building design.

This is a rare opportunity to tour three private modernism homes: all have a unique spin on displaying art and boast respectful conscious respect for their original mid-century architecture. You will be introduced to a very significant modern church in Hastings and one church now a private home is a backdrop for a lovely garden in Prescott. Then, there will be glimpses into our area’s best-kept secrets, private gardens. An extra treat–at some of the venues–local talents will share their skills with workshops (herbs, pollination and flower arranging).

There will be other exciting surprises in store for the tour guests.

This fundraiser is for the benefit of scholarships for youth who are interested in any of the art forms.
