Poets on the Wild Side

Poets on the Wild Side will feature local poets Dale Cox, Don Mitchell and Laurie Allmann in the first half of the evening and Kimberly Blaeser as special guest in the 2nd half. Kimberly Blaeser, the Wisconsin Poet Laureate for 2015–2016, resides in Lyons Township, Wisconsin. “Drawing on literal observation and the power of metaphor, Blaeser crafts poems that dwell deeply on a complex, natural world—which includes the power of human imagination.” (from the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters website)

Poets on the Wild Side and is hosted by Tropical Wings as a kickoff event for the weekend bird migration celebration.
