Painted Tile Class

Join us at the SPL on Friday, June 17, 2016 for an adult Painted Tile class. It’s hard to believe that these beautiful works of art are made on inexpensive material widely available at just about any home improvement store. Using alcohol inks and alcohol resist techniques, these stunning watercolor inspired ceramic tiles are pretty amazing, echoing the work of contemporary artists like Jeremy Blake and Elizabeth Peyton. It’s virtually impossible to make one that isn’t a tiny museum-ready piece. Trust us, you’ll be making these a lot!
