Marine Documentary Film Night

A free screening of two documentary films, SHARKEY and SERMON OF THE SERPENT will be held at the Marine Village Hall.  This is the third in a series of six documentary film nights presented by the Marine Film Society and the Marine Community Library* to be shown the first Thursday of each month through March. Each film in the series is free and open to the public.  The filmmaker for SHARKEY and SERMON OF THE SERPENT will be present for a discussion following the film.

About SHARKEY

SHARKEY is the story of Minnesota professional wrestling legend Ed Sharkey has trained a governor and wrestled a monkey over the course of his long and storied career. 

About SERMON OF THE SERPENT

In southern West Virginia, Pastor Mack Wolford leads one of the few remaining snake handling churches in the United States.  The preacher is fully aware of the dangers of handling venomous snakes, but he and his family are willing to stake their lives on their beliefs.

Both short documentaries will be shown December 3, 2015 at 7 pm in the Marine Village Hall, 121 Judd Street, Marine on Saint Croix. Light refreshments and snacks will be served.
