Cartoon Character Creation : Ages 8-12

Explore the concept of character design and the elements that go into developing a unique and interesting cartoon character. Study several classic cartoon characters and analyze ways an artist uses body type, facial expression, costume and props to develop a character with personality. Then develop your own original character and practice reproducing it with different emotions and in various situations or poses. Apply what you have learned by developing a detailed action scene starring your character.
