Benjamin Percy has won a Whiting Writers Award, a Plimpton Prize, two Pushcart Prizes, and a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. His newest novel, The Dead Lands, is a post-apocalyptic reimagining of the Lewis and Clark saga, a super flu and nuclear fallout. He lives in Minnesota with his family.

Nickolas Butler's debut novel was Shotgun Lovesongs, and his newest is Beneath the Bonfire: Stories. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin and the Iowa Writer's Workshop, he currently lives in Wisconsin with his wife and family.
