On the eve of Earth Day’s 50th anniversary, celebrate with local environmental writer, essayist, poet Laurie Allmann reading from her latest work, “An Hour From Now” (https://tinyurl.com/u85zkxt), a book of poems reflecting our St. Croix Valley.
NOTE: This event has moved to the Fellowship Hall of the Ascension Episcopal Church is Stillwater.
Laurie was a longtime naturalist and program director at Carpenter Nature Center. She received a Minnesota Book Award for her creative nonfiction book, “Far from Tame: Reflections from the Heart of a Continent,” a collection of essays based on ecoregions of Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.
