Presented by River Falls Public Library at Online/Virtual Space

Feb 04, 2021

As Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin, I’m excited to be serving as chair of Governor Evers’ Task Force on Climate Change. Through my work and travels as Lieutenant Governor, I have witnessed firsthand the impacts the climate crisis is having on our communities, our health, and our economy. I have met with farmers whose livelihoods were destroyed by extreme weather events. I have heard from local officials who are gravely concerned about how climate change will affect local tourism. I have learned from health professionals that the climate crisis is the largest public health threat we face. And I have talked with so many people who are worried that their children and grandchildren will not be able to experience the outdoors the way they did and carry on our proud traditions of hunting, fishing, and hiking. It’s a sad reality, but we cannot afford to let the gravity of this crisis…

Jan 07 - Feb 13, 2021

Artists Lisa Bergh, Tara Costello, Susan Solomon Curated by Jackson Duin It is 15-year-old Jackson Duin’s curatorial vision that partners the work of Bergh, Costello and Solomon. Not an obvious trio for an exhibit, Duin’s eye and intuitive art wisdom directs viewers to a commonality of differences. He recognized and connected the visual language and methodologies of three seemingly disparate artists. In order to safely enjoy the show, we require visitors to wear a mask, practice social distancing while in the gallery viewing art and limit the number of guests in the gallery to ten at a time. The exhibition and gift gallery are programs of ArtReach St. Croix whose mission is to connect communities and the arts. Distilled and Direct is on view through February 13, 2021.
