Watercolor Clinic: Focus on Landscapes

For advanced beginner students and up In this class, students will work on their own projects, with one-on-one and group coaching. The instructor will provide exercises and demos tailored to the students and their projects, with an emphasis on techniques for painting landscapes in watercolor. We will work on techniques for skies and clouds; trees, grass and other foliage; water and reflections; rock and stone textures; buildings and people in the landscape; color mixing for natural landscape colors (especially those troublesome greens); and using linear and atmospheric perspective to suggest depth.
This class is suitable for students who are painting at least some projects on their own, but want to strengthen their skills with painting the landscape in watercolor. Bring the watercolor supplies you normally use, plus any photos, sketches, or field studies from which you want to work to the first class. The instructor will help you figure out if you need any additional supplies. Ages 18 and older.
